I want to bless you with a wonderful Father’s Day experience today, that you will encounter our Father God in a profound way, and receive a deeper revelation of His love for you.

Thank you, Father God, for meeting our every needs, as every good gift comes from You!

I also want to thank my earthly father, for being the great dad that he is, encouraging me and supporting me through the years.  Dad, you are greatly loved and appreciated!

This is what the LORD says: “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool.

Where is the house you will build for me? Where will my resting place be?

Isaiah 66:1

Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Cor 6:19), and God longs to rest in each one of us. We are His dwelling place and He lives in us!

To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Col 1:27

It is God’s desire to make His home in us. Many of us want God to “use” us in kingdom ministry, and we long for the power of the Holy Spirit to flow through us, in preaching, teaching, praying, healing, and miracles. It is right that we seek for God to “move” through us, and it is the intention of the Holy Spirit to do these things through us, as we are His vessels (2 Tim 2:21). But, we need to realize that God’s foremost intention is to rest in us, for the purpose of establishing intimate fellowship and relationship with us, and not to move through us.

Furthermore, the more God is able to rest in us, the more His manifest glory will be seen upon us. And when others see His glory resting upon the sons and daughters of God, they will come and receive salvation in Christ without us striving to flow in the gifts of the Spirit! We need to allow God to rest in us first, before we seek Him to move through us.

For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples;

but the LORD will arise upon you, and his glory will be seen upon you.

And nations shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.

Isaiah 60:2-3

This is a great soaking worship album by Laura Rhinehart, Kimberly Rivera’s sister.  I sense that Laura has the redemptive gift of servant, and if you are familiar with Arthur Burk‘s teachings on the redemptive gifts (the list of gifts listed in Romans 12), you would know that the servant gift has attributes of healing and cleansing.

Laura’s music is very strong in imparting the healing and grace of God, and she releases the heavenly atmosphere of the Father’s tender love and care.  I do highly recommend this album.  You can learn more about it, listen to sample tracks, and purchase it (CD or mp3s) by clicking on the album cover art above.

Come to me,
all you who labor
and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest.
