Please pray for Haiti, for the victims of the earthquake to be miraculously healed, and raise from the dead! Pray that food/medical supplies that have arrived would be distributed efficiently and effectively to the needy. And pray for more aid to arrive as well!
Father God, release thousands of more angels to help with the relief and restoration of Haiti!
We need to pray both for God to move supernaturally (in multiplying food, sustaining lives of those who are still in desperate conditions, etc.), and for God to strengthen the human relief efforts organizationally (more resources and trained teams coming in and reaching those in need, to alleviate the crisis)
Here are three trustworthy mercy organizations that you can donate to–
Red Cross, Samaritan’s Purse, and World Vision.
Pray for believers over there who are assisting in the relief effort to minister appropriately with wisdom and compassion. Amen.
.
The islands shall see your glory
The wars shall see your might
The nations shall see your beauty
Awestruck at your sight
.
The humble shall see your glory
The pure shall see your face
The oppressed shall see your mercy
The past to be erased
.
The earth shall see your glory
The works of your hand
Creation sings your melody
All across this land
.
Children shall see your glory
And babes speak your praise
Sons and daughters of destiny
Running to win the race
.
And we shall see your glory
As we overcome
Praying breathes of intimacy
Come Lord Jesus come
Hope arise out of ashes
Gems arise out of trashes
Gold arise out of darkness
And jewels arise out of messes
Beauty arise out of chaos
Peace arise out of madness
Joy arise out of sadness
And laughter arise out of us
Love arise out of hearts
Praise arise from the arts
Worship arise from the earth
And God arise out of us
Courage arise from your people
Boldness arise in your saints
Mercy arise to crush the evil
And grace arise to dance
Faith arise out of children
Songs arise out of thanks
Power arise from the broken
And dreams arise from romance

Mercer Island, WA
As 2009 is upon us,
I thought it was fitting for me to post this photo on Love’s Rest to usher in the new year. The Lord spoke to me earlier this year that Mercer Island is to become “Mercy Island,” and we do ask God for His mercy to be released in greater measure this new year!
The children statues in this picture represent us living in the kingdom of God with child-like faith, wonder, and innocence. They also symbolize relationship, friendship, and intimacy, both vertical (with God) and horizontal (with each other).
The children statues sit upon this “stone” that is also a water fountain, how cool is that! We are to sit (rest) upon the Rock, the Cornerstone, which is Jesus Christ. The fountain water is a metaphor for the living water (eternal life) that flows from our Lord into each one of us, and into the world. And we are to build our house (our bodies which is the temple of God) on the Rock and not on the sand, so when the storm comes we are not shaken or destroyed.
The setting of the photo is on a street corner in “downtown” Mercer Island, which speaks of marketplace ministry. The trees and hill in the background speaks of God’s creation (the natural world), and Psalm 121:
“I lift my eyes up to the hills, where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the maker of heaven and earth.”
We are to totally put our trust in the Lord, and unreservedly rely on Him, more than ever before, in the coming season.
Lastly, the wind and the bubbles. The bubbles represents dreams, imagination, and creativity. Let us dream big in Christ and see the fulfillment, this year and in years to come. The wind that is blowing the bubbles towards the children statues is the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, ministering to us, and helping us birth these dreams.
The wind of the Holy Spirit will carry us closer towards our callings and destinies in Jesus Christ! May you be blessed throughout 2009.
