This past year I have been listening and soaking to Julie True’s Sounds of Healing, a lot. It’s that good.
I would say it is pretty much a “much-have” if you are building your own soaking music library. I love her voice and her music, and her team’s sensitivity to the Holy Spirit.
This album is deep, refreshing, and indeed, healing to the spirit, soul, and body. Just click on the album cover photo to the left to order the CD!

Just this week, I realized that it has already been one year since I launched Love’s Rest (last December), and I have to say that this devotional website has grown and progressed beyond my imagination. Praise God!
I started Love’s Rest out of an idea God had given me, and now, after 100+ posts and over 5,000 visitors, I am grateful that God birthed this site and used it to bless so many people worldwide!
(and He is continuing to touch lives through it each day)
I remember, last year, it was during an epic two-week periods of snow flurries and cold weather here in the Seattle area, when I was stuck and trapped in my old apartment (with my car buried in the parking lot), and I couldn’t go out to fellowship with friends for Christmas, that the Father drew me into a deeper, more intimate relationship with Him.
And during those days, after hours of soaking and worshipping, I was prompted by the Holy Spirit to go to wordpress.com, and the dream of Love’s Rest became a reality.
Thank you Daddy God, for your amazing love, for all that you are, and all that you’ve done. And may the knowledge of You be spread all over the earth, as the waters cover the sea. I know I have been transformed by You as well, in creating, maintaining, and cultivating this website. Thank You for what You are doing in me and through me. Amen.
I have much more fresh contents in store this new year for Love’s Rest, so get ready to go deeper in the Lord!
~ Samuel
We had a wonderful night of soaking in Daddy God’s presence last Wed at Tierra Nueva (in Burlington, WA). It was my second time playing with Sara, and it was an amazing set again.
This time, we had a chance to talk beforehand about how we would like to flow musically in the Holy Spirit. How she would create “space” for me to roam freely on my electric violin, and vice versa for her to “solo” more on the piano. Of course, as what we play is all spontaneously improvised, it is hard to “plan” in advance!
It was a very restful, peaceful set, and people were blessed and touched by the LORD. Sara and I played for more than an hour, and we ended up on “Be Thou My Vision” to close the set. I was glad that some of my friends from the Seattle area drove up to hear us, and God did not disappoint them.
Here are some more pictures from that night.
This upcoming Wednesday (12/2/09), at 7:30 pm, I will playing/leading an instrumental soaking set with Sara Wevodau at Tierra Nueva, in Burlington, WA.
I will be playing my 5-string electric violin, while Sara will be on the piano. We are planning to play the same spontaneous, Holy Spirit-led style music as we did last time, when I came up to TN in September.
So, if you are in the area, feel free to come out to soak! The address and directions to TN are at their website, which you can access by clicking on the photo above. Hope to see you there!
